But beyond that, the impact of this unique project is likely to be enormous. That adds up to some 570,000 M ' ' tonnes annually — one third of -this ■■ country’s total petrol requirements. MM As a result, New Zealand will now be less Mgl dependent on overseas supplies. The opening of the Motunui Gas-to- VIM Gasoline plant is a big step towards MM , energy self-sufficiency.
