Excursion trains
Sir, — I congratulate the organisers, sponsors and travel companies on the proposed West Coast and Buller scenic excursion train over the Easter period. I am sure that all Coasters and Bullerites would love as many of you Cantabrians or Otagoites as could possibly fit on that train to come and visit us, enjoy our scenery and hospitality and, in addition, visit many of our attractions. Whether they are manmade, such as Shantytown or Coaltown, or natural such as Lake Kaniere or the Charming Creek walkway, you will simply love them. The sights and experiences during the journey will undoubtedly be memorable, particularly to any children fortunate enough to make the trip with their families. — Yours, etc.,
ROSS FISHER. Westport. February 22, 1986.
