SALES W ACCOUNTANT Tauranga An opportunity has arisen with BP OIL NEW ZEALAND LTD for a fully qualified accountant who seeks a position away from traditional routine accounting duties, which is not desk bound, and with a high profile in the company. The role of this position is to provide a financial advisory and support service to our Tauranga sales staff and customers. This includes analysis of investment proposals, review of loan securities', accounting systems design/implementation advice, staff and customer financial management education and training, and special project reports. Reporting to head office in Wellington, the position has an active interface with sales, operations, finance and administration divisions at both head office and branch level, as well as frequent personal contact with the company's customers and their professional advisors. At least five years corporate or chartered accountancy experience is essential, and candidates must be able to demonstrate initiative, self starting capability, strong communication skills, and be prepared to travel on a regular basis throughout the Bay of Plenty area. Good presentation and an ability to relate well to others are necessary attributes for the level of professional contact involved. The remuneration package, which includes a company car and other benefits, will reflect the importance of this position.
