FCL issues Eurobond
Fletcher Challenge, Ltd, growth in international standing enabled it to launch its maiden issue in the United States dollar Eurobond market for SUSIOOM at 9.75 per cent for seven years, the company said yesterday. The Eurobond market is one of the major world financial markets for raising medium to long-term fixed debt. It is accessible only to internationally known, primename companies or Government and quasi-government organisations. “There has been a marked growth in our international standing,” said Mr Bruce Cooper, the treasurer of Fletcher Challenge. The issue is lead-managed by Credit Suisse First Boston of London.
