Dispute resolved
A dispute at Christchurch Hospital between domestic workers and Crothall Hospital Services has been resolved. The 25 night shift cleaners at the hospital went on strike on Friday and Monday evenings after the company demoted a supervisor. The secretary of the
Canterbury Hospital Workers’ Union, Mr Martin Moodie, said that the dispute had been resolved to the satisfaction of all. The staff resumed work last evening. It is believed that the supervisor, who resigned after her demotion, was reinstated to her former position.
