Imaprince’s plans
PA Wellington The Levin galloper, Imaprince, will leave on Monday for another tilt at the Sydney Cup, his trainer, Mick Preston, said yesterday. The Heir Apparent stallion finished second to Late Show in the 3200 m cup last April and will follow a similar lead-up programme this year. contest the Chipping Norton Stakes (1600 m at Warwick Farm followed by the 2400 m Tancred Stakes at Rosehill. Imaprince finished fourth in the Tancred Stakes last year. A leading Sydney jockey, Peter Cook, who stayed with Preston when in Levin for the Bayer Classic late last year, is the likely rider for Imaprince in the Chipping Norton Stakes.
