East-Shirley holds a threepoint lead in “The Press” twilight cricket competition, after the eighth round of matches om Monday evening. East-Shirley hammered Christchurch Workingmen’s Club, while St Albans A had a similarly emphatic victory over Southern Districts to lie in second place. Man-of-the-Match awards went to J. Stewart (Supporters), N. Jones (East-Shir-ley), K. Barker (Riccarton), M. Priest (St Albans A), P. Gooby (St Albans B) and R.
