Council helps church
The St Albans Methodist Church will get $lOOO from the Christchurch City Council to help restore its spire. The money will come from the council’s historic buildings fund. It was approved yesterday by the town planning committee.
The fund has about $15,000 and two or three other applications, including one from Pegasus Press, are being considered.
