Meat workers’ wage claims
Sir, — I give the following notice to the freezing workers and companies. If the wage claim is given and passed on to the farmer, no matter how it is disguised, reducing even more the net return for my lamb to
me, I will turn to all wool fanning. Although my gross income will be down, my net income will be the same, as my running costs will be much reduced. As time goes on, I and other farmers, because of the much smaller work load, will have more time to spend at the races and sunbathe at the beach thinking about those poor unemployed souls who once had the better paying job. — Yours, etc., JEREMY GRIGG.
