Cancelled

Just when it seemed certain that Ferrari was at last going to put its longawaited four-door saloon into production, the company has again changed its mind and the “Quattroporte” project has been cancelled.

Apparently the outstanding success of existing models is taxing all the production resources of the Italian high-performance carmaker, and as Ferrari limits production to about 3000 cars a year, to proceed with the Quattroporte would mean that production of established cars, for - which there are sizeable waiting lists, would have to be curtailed.
