Dispute goes to mediator
PA Auckland The industrial dispute which has disrupted catering services on some flights leaving New Zealand will go before the mediator, Mr Gerry Ditchfield, on Thursday. ' Until then, Hotel Workers’ Union members would do their normal duties, jaid the
union secretary, Mr Rick Barker, yesterday. The 300 kitchen staff at New Zealand’s three international airports went on strike last Thursday and Friday, forcing international flights to leave without food or liquor. The workers are seeking an 18.5 per cent waga rise. 4._.
