New deal for hostellers

A travel pass for 10 days unlimited coach travel in any 30-day period is now available to Youth Hostel Association members.

The $2OO pass can be used on all scheduled services of Newmans Coach Lines. It can save up to 30 per cent on normal fares. The Youth Hostels Association’s chief executive, Mr Peter Abrams, said most hostellers were tourists who preferred to experience New Zealand rather than just tick off the places they had visited. “Freedom to choose 10 travel days over a 30-day period is ideal for hostellers who often prefer to spend extra time in localities as well as undertaking side trips.” “We expect strong interest from both visiting overseas hostellers and New Zealand members.”

The pass can be bought from youth hostel offices in Christchurch and Auckland or any Newmans Coach Lines office.
