Congratulations from council
The Rangiora Borough Council congratulates all those who have been involved in the re-develop-ment in Alfred Street. Any inconvenience has been well worth-while, said the Mayor, Mrs Dorothy Harris.
“Council policy for the central commercial area has encouraged re-develop-ment bf older commercial areas and made possible
maximum use of zoning to provide increased car-park-ing and balanced business activity,” she said. Rangiora was increasingly attracting more shoppers and increased choice, particularly in the supermarket area. “This must encourage competition, which I hope will result in reduced prices to help the family budget,” said Mrs Harris.
