Applications are invited and the successful applicants will be appointed to the position most suitable to their experience and qualifications. The work involved could be in any of the following areas and experience in some of these fields would be desirable. — Testing and commissioning of 66kV and llkV substation equipment, including transformers, cables and switchgear. — Testing and commissioning of relay protection schemes for transformers, cables and switchgear. — Fault location on H.V. and L.V. underground cables. — Fault location on all types of electricity distribution equipment. — Installation and maintenance of radio and telephone communication equipment. — Commissioning and maintenance of supervisory control and data acquisition equipment. — Commissioning and maintenance of load prediction and control equipment. — Installation and maintenance of revenue and N.Z.E. bulk supply metering equipment. — Instrument repair and calibration. Salary and conditions of appointment will be in accordance with the terms of the Christchurch City Council Local Body Officers Agreement. At present salaries are under review and details will be given on application. The preferred minimum qualification is Electrical Advanced Trade Certificate but persons with other training or qualifications will be considered.
