Sportier Alfa
With a new top management line-up almost in place, Alfa Romeo, which last made a profit in 1973 and has suffered heavy losses since then, is already directing its attention to its disappointing Alfa 33 range. Next year a more sporting 1.7 litre version, said to
develop 85.7 kW, will be introduced.
The Italian company is also working on a more sophisticated four-wheel-drive system than the dogclutch arrangement now used in the Alfa 33 4 x 4. Improvements to other models are also in the pipeline.
