Ship hauled off sand
PA Dunedin The Coastal Trader, grounded on a sandbank in her approach to Port Chalmers on Tuesday, has been hauled free by the Otago Harbour Board tugs Karetai and Rangi. The 6736-ton Shinninc
Corporation vessel, on her weekly Lyttelton-Dunedin run, was stuck for more than six hours. She grounded at low tide. A diver inspected the hull after the ship was freed, and she proceeded to her berth.
