Presents ‘stolen’
PA Auckland Christine Adams, aged 18, stole a camisole and jewel case for Christmas presents from Woolworths because she found it hard to make ends meet on the dole, her counsel Ms Nola McGowan told the District Court in Auckland.
Adams admitted taking lingerie, valued at $2B, and a jewel case, valued at $34.99, on Saturday. Judge Kerr convicted her and remanded her at large for sentence on February 10.
