Quiet Christmas at Lyttelton
The Port of Lyttelton will have a quiet Christmas Day tomorrow with only one shipping movement expected for the day. , The coastal shipping vessel, the Coastal Trader, is expected to arrive from Dunedin at 8.30 aan. Two container ships, the New Zealand Mariner and the Aotea, will be in port along with the refrigerated meat carrier the Such, a fishing trawler the Pint, and the inter-island ferry Spirit of Competition. No departures are scheduled for Christmas Day. The Lyttelton Harbour Board will be closed tomorrow and Boxing Day although port employees will be on stand-by to service scheduled arrivals and departures.
