Tony Allan suspended
New Zealand’s leading apprentice, Tony Allan, will be out of action up to and including December 28. Allan was suspended for careless riding in the Otaki Rotary Club Maiden at the Otaki Maori Racing Club’s meeting on Wednesday in which he rode Ambush. Allan, who will miss out on some important riding engagements at the Manawatu Racing Club’s -meeting, including Mishare in the Fletcher Steel Stakes and Squire Gray in the A.B.S. Juvenile, has ridden 22 winners this season and is currently ninth on the jockeys’ premiership ladder.
