Mark Howell increases P class lead

In perfect sailing conditions on the Estuary, a Canterbury Tanner Cup representative, Mark Howell, in Aphrodite, increased his lead in over-all standings, winning the third race of the Graham Mander Canterbury P class yachting championships yesterday. Aphrodite took control of the race from the start and by the top Mark opened up a 10s lead over Salty Dog, sailed by Gavin Brady, and a 78s lead over Stephen Reay in Shadow Fox. At the end of the triangle Aphrodite was up 9s on Salty Dog who increased his lead to 90s over Shadow Fox. On the top mark of the windward-leeward course Aphrodite extended his lead

to 70s over Salty Dog, and Dean Lamb in Prime Time closed up and passed Shadow Fox on the windward leg to take third place. Results:— Race Three:— Aphrodite (M.
