Fast Forward Rewind

“Fast Forward” in 1985 looked at the scientific and technological issues A.1.D.5., alternative medicine, underwater birthing, hackers; produced a special report on the Science and Technology for Development Conference; visited the World Expo at Tsukuba, Japan; reviewed research in Antarctica; went to Australia to share in the recovery of a heart transplant patient;

covered the work of some of our New Zealand scientists and from overseas, reports with far reaching implications for all of us. From this material, a series of seven “Fast Forward Rewind” programmes have been produced, beginning on Saturday. Jim Hopkins, Peter Llewellyn and Joanna McMenamin open the “Fast Forward Rewind” series with their own very individual view of the year and a not-too-scientific look at Christmas.
