Turner to stay on
PA Wellington Glenn Turner will continue as New Zealand cricket manager for the three-test home series against Australia in Febru-ary-March. Turner debuted in the role on the recent tour of Australia, and took much credit for guiding New Zealand to a 2-1 series win. The chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Council,
Bob Vance, said in announcing Turner’s acceptance yesterday, that the N.Z.C.C. was extremely pleased with Turner’s contribution in Australia and saw a continuing association both worth while and important. The N.Z.C.C. had already contracted Turner to act as cricket manager for the New Zealand team for the one-day series against Australia and India next month.
