Track system
A system of tracks has been established throughout the Marlborough Sounds Maritime Park. They range from 15-minute walks to two to three-day tramps. All are of high standard and suitable for persons of any age or level of fitness. The Endeavour walk, from Camp Bay to Ship Cove, is a popular trip taking up to nine hours in sections to Furneaux Lodge (4 hours), Resolution Bay (3) and Ship Cove (2). The track starts at Kenepuru Saddle immediately above Camp Bay. The walk passes through native bush and contrasting areas of pastoral land, pro-
viding spectacular views of Cook Strait and the Outer Queen Charlotte Sounds. The Anakiwa walk to Portage has a time of 6¥z hours with an approximate half-way point at Mistletoe Bay. The main section of the track follows the main ridge separating the Kenepuru and Queen Charlotte Sounds.
The nine-hour Nydia walk from Kaiuma Bay to Duncan Bay is broken down into sections reaching Nydia Bay (4 hours), Ngawhakawhiti Bay (4) and Duncan Bay (1). The track passes through farm land and excellent stands of native beech forest.
