Eight Canterbury players have been selected to attend the annual Fresh-up most promising young players rugby coaching school at Lincoln College in March. Greg McFadden, John Skurr (full-backs), Gerald Aherin (centre), Andrew Sherwood (first five-eighth), Graeme Bachop (half-back), Kevin Philips (flanker) Reese Whitelock (lock) and Michael Hutton «have all been named he school from March
28-31. Other South Island players are.— Chris Scott (full-back, South Canterbury), Richard Kingsbury (wing, Mid-Canter-bury), Jody Smith (wing, South Canterbury), Gregory Wilson (first five-eighth, Marlborough), Gerard O’Connor (flanker, Buller), Andrew Rich (lock, South Canterbury), Murray Buxton (prop, Mid-Canter-bury), Brad Adamson (hooker, Nelson Bays), Graham Wilson (hooker, Mid-Canterbury).
