PA Auckland The Government will fund the last voyage of the Rainbow Warrior, to Matauri Bay, where a Greenpeace festival is planned to coincide with its sinking. Mr Richard Northey, the member of Parliament for Eden, said last evening that the Government would pay
up to $7OOO for the Rainbow Warrior to be towed from Auckland to Matauri Bay. Ms Carol Stewart, the national co-ordinator for Greenpeace, said the organisation and the people of Matauri Bay hoped to have a festival on the first weekend of the New Year, to coincide with the sinking.
