Make your own gift-box
Gifts, at Christmas time are a thrill for everyone — it does not matter if the gift costs a small sum. If you can, make £ifts yourself. The time and thought put into doing this is always appreciated. Even if you cannot make your own gifts you can
make your own gift-boxes or gut-bags. s Make a carrier-bag out of brightly coloured paper using the pattern from an old brown carrier-bag and gather the top with ribbon tied in a bow.
Put some thought into your wrappings. Use. the
rcolours that belong to Christmas — red, green or white paper, contrasting, red, green or white ribbon, or silver or gold. Empty boxes can be covered carefully with coloured paper if you do not feel you can make your own. You could also use aerosol spray paint
to colour boxes, but remember to do one side at a time, whether painting or covering with paper. Follow the pattern shown here to make your own boxes. Stick to the simple cube shape until you feel you can manage something more difficult 1. Cut out strong card and score along the dotted lines. 2. Apply glue to shaded areas. 3. Stick A behind B. . 4. Fold in six tabs marked C. 9. Fold.in end D and tuck in. . •■■ . .
