Stake increase
The Avondale Stakes next Saturday will be worth an extra $5OOO because of sponsorship. The stake for the 86th running of the Auckland Jockey Club event, to be known as the Allegra Park Avondale Stakes, will be $14,000. Entries close at noon on Monday.—(PA).
