A bigger punch

NZPA-Reuter London Britain’s Frank Bruno, fighting for the first time as the European heavyweight champion, unveiled a new dimension to his punching power in knocking out the American, Larry Frazier, in the second round of a 10round non-title bout. Bruno, renowned as a head puncher, floored Frazier, aged 36, with a withering left hook to the body.

.Frazier was so distressed by the blow that he writhed about on the canvas long after he had been counted out, and it was not until two minutes after he had been knocked down that he was able to regain his feet. The style of Bruno’s victory will enhance his chances of. a world title fight next year. He is ranked sixth by the the World Boxing Council.
