Dorlon quality marine clothing
Dorlon Products, Ltd, an Auckland-based company specialising in marine clothing and accessories, became a division of Skellerup Industries, Ltd, last year. Well established throughout New Zealand as a manufacturer of yachting wet weather gear and lifejackets, and having experienced growth in exports to the United States and Australia, Dorlon has gained an international reputation for quality and value. The company has added a string to the bow of Skellerup Industries, which is already well known as a manufacturer of protective clothing for sporting, commercial, fishing and farming activities. Among, the more wellknown users of Dorlon gear is the crew of Lion New Zealand, a leading contender in the 1985-86 Whitbread Round-the-World Challenge.
The skipper, Mr Peter Blake, first tested Dorlon on Ceramco in the previous challenge, and finding the range “excellent,” chose it' again when equipping Lion New Zealand.
Dorlon Products, Ltd, is well known in the Auckland, Tauranga and Canterbury areas as a sponsor of yachting events.
