P.M. to visit Faleolo

PA Wellington The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, intends attending the official opening of the Faleolo Airport runway extension in Western Samoa on December 12. A statement from his office said that he would be accompanied on the inaugural Air New Zealand 747 flight into Faleolo by the Minister of Transport,

Mr Prebble. The extension of the runway and associated improvement was partially funded by a New Zealand official development assistance contribution of $2.5 million. The official opening of the airport is set for 1986 when a new terminal building will be opened, the statement said.
