Buildings passed in at auction

An offer of three times the Government valuation for three properties in the north-east comer of Latimer Square did not tempt the owner at a recent public auction. The properties, which were offered as one lot, had a Government valuation (1984) of $222,000 but were passed in . at auction at $650,000. Three two-storey houses divided into flats and bed-

sitters are on the sites, which are in an area zoned for hotels, motels, and apartments. They are next to Latimer Lodge in Latimer Square and opposite the Stonehurst Motel in Gloucester Street.

The auctioneer, Mr Robert Brown, of Robert Brown Real Estate, said negotiations had continued with a "variety of interested parties.”
