Rhodes scholarship
An agricultural commerce student at Lincoln College has been nominated for a Rhodes scholarship for study at Oxford University. He is Mr Forbes Elworthy, who has been studying at Victoria University of Wellington this year as part of his Lincoln College commerce degree. He was the president of the Lincoln College
Students* Association last year. • Mr Elworthy will be the fifth Lincoln College student to study at Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship since 1940. Two New Zealanders are nominated each year for the scholarship. Each - scholar has his or her fees paid for study at an Oxford college, and is given a yearly allowance. . < >.
