Post Office opening

Wellington reporter The new post office in Phillipstown will be opened by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Palmer, on November 29, at 3 p.m. the 223 sq m single-storey building is at the corner of Ferry Road and Barbour

Street. It is built in reinforced concrete and was designed by Peter Kent. It was built by the Christchurch firm of M. L. Paynter, Ltd, for $269,740. It will replace temporary accommodation on the same site and offer a full range of services.
