Offering knowledge, skill, experience
The professional rug, carpet and upholstery cleaner represents a combination of knowledge, experience and skill. He or she is equipped and prepared to service and maintain all types of floor coverings. This means anything from removing spots or stains to a complete repair service such as replacing missing tufts, resewing a torn fringe, binding or repairing a cigarette bum.
The professional can also install carpets; take up carpet and cut it to proper size to re-install in a new location. He or she can dye rugs and carpets; insure and store rugs and carpets; and clean them both in the plant and on the premises. Maintaining and servicing both domestic and imported floor coverings such as fine Orientals, is also part of the cleaners job. He or she can service all types of fibres whether they be the latest
man-made synthetics or natural fibres such as cotton and wool. As carpets differ, so do the ways in which carpets are cleaned. The on-location cleaning method and procedure to be used will depend on a number of factors: the type of carpet and its construction: the depth and type of soiling; and the time for which the carpeting can be put out of service.
