HELICOPTER HIRE KAIKOURA WRITTEN tenders are invited for the hire of a helicopter to undertake miscellaneous lifting and aerial shooting operations in the Kaikoura area during the 1985/86 financial year. The lime is to be evenly spread over 38 hectares at a rate of 5 tonnes of lime per hectare. The area Is moderate to steep hill country located under the Benmore-Hay-wards transmission lines and as such is suited only to spreading by 4 x 4 tractor or similar. It is recommended that prospective tenderers Inspect the area before submitting a tender and this can be arranged by contacting the Officer in Charge, Ashley Forest (contact Forest Ranger, L. Christie), telephone 8015 Rangiora, from whom copies of the schedule can be obtained. Tenderers are to submit a price per tonne spread, inclusive of supply, transport and spreading. Work is to commence no later than December 2, 1985, and be completed by December 20, 1985. The contract will be on the standard N.Z.F.S. form F.S. D 43 which must be signed within 14 days of acceptance of tender and before work commences.
