New offer for All. Mills
PA Sydney An sAust36B million ($NZ423.2 million) cash offer for Allied Mills, Ltd, announced yesterday has counteracted a share offer for the company by Fielder Gillespie Davis, Ltd, which was seeking to form Australia’s largest food group. The latest offer for Allied, pitched at sAust3.so a share, is being made by interests associated in Entrad Corporation, Ltd, and Minlor Holdings Pty, Ltd, a comCany associated with usinessmen Leon and Les Lipkies and John Logan. Announcing the offer, on behalf of the bidders, the Melbourne broker, A. C. Goode and Company, said that the bid would be made through a jointly owned take-over vehicle, Euling Pty, Ltd.
The broker said Allied shares would be acquired ex-dividend with the offer conditional on 90 per cent acceptance. Allied shares rose 10c to the 350 offer price yesterday.
The Entrad/Minlor offer comes after a five-for-four share offer for all Allied’s stock by Fielder, announced on November 1.
