Gypsy juggler
Rene, the A and E Players and Ged Maybury are the entertainers appearing at the Lyttelton Harbourlight during the next three weeks.
Rene is based in Queenstown and describes himself as a world travelling gypsy. He is Swiss and last appeared in Christchurch at the Festival of the Fringe Theatre earlier this year.
His act includes some energetic juggling, fire eating and magic. The A and E Players have written a new show entitled “Six Months On.” The show is a celebration of an extension to their time under a Labour Department scheme.
The six young performers presented their first show “Smirkish Delights” at the Harbourlight. Ged Maybury is a performing poet who takes a satirical look at life in New Zealand.
The entertainers will appear on Friday and Saturday nights with Rene and the A and E Players performing this week-end and November 29 and 30 and Ged Maybury and the Players on November 22 and 23.
