A copy of “Always Ready,” a history of the Christchurch Fire Brigade, is signed by the Prime Minister, Mr Lange, in Wellington yesterday. With him are the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Palmer, and the Christchurch Chief Fire Officer, Mr Michael Burke. The book has been produced to mark the 125th anniversary of the brigade which will be celebrated this week-end. The signed copies will be presented to former Christchurch chief fire officers.
