Work to feature on calendar
The Lyttelton Harbour Board’s valuable John Gibb painting, which hangs in the boardroom at its Christchurch office, will be reproduced on 25,000 Trusteebank Canterbury calendars next year. The painting depicts Lyttelton’s inner harbour in 1896. The board purchased it two years ago for $lB,OOO, and has since been offered $50,000 for 14 Trusteebank’s 1986 calendars will show a number of South Island harbour scenes.
