Charge after fatal accident
PA Hamilton A Putaruru man will appear in the District Court at Hamilton today on charges relating to a fatal accident in Putaruru on Saturday. The man killed was Warren Lindsay Savage, 18, of Putaruru. The police said that Mr Savage had been attending
a function at the Buckland Street Hall in Putaruru. He stepped outside on to the road and was hit by a passing car. A man, aged 21, was charged with careless use of a motor vehicle causing death and making a false complaint. The police said that the man early yesterday reported his car stolen.
