A MAJOR CHRISTCHURCH MANUFACTURING OPERATION REQUIRES A PLANT ENGINEERING MANAGER A CAPABLE AND experienced person is sought to assume the management of the substantial branch engineering function of a large and well located manufacturing organisation. The Plant Engineering Manager Is seen as having a key role in assisting to achieve manufacturing targets through the efficient direction of engineering resources. Proven management skills are therefore required with particular emphasis being placed on planning and co-ordinating ability as well as cost control and technical competence. The ability to lead and organise a large team of plant maintenance personnel is essential. The planning and control of project work will also be an important element in this position. Applicants should have at least 5 or 6 years plant engineering experience at a responsible level within a manufacturing environment and it is desirable that they possess an appropriate tertiary qualification.
