Threat to stop work
PA Wellington Kindergarten teachers will stop work on October 23 unless pay increase claims are met. The Kindergarten Teachers’ Association is seeking relativity with primary schoolteachers,
which means increases of 13 per cent to 17 per cent for most members and up to 27 per cent for a small group of senior staff. The association expected a reply from the Government yesterday on the claims, but this has been delayed, possibly until October 17.
