Mr Bruce Bampton, a stock agent with Pyne, Gould, Guinness, Ltd, judging porkers on Wednesday in the on-hoof section of the Elanco Porker and Baconer Competition organised by the Canterbury A. and P. Association. The on-hooks part of the contest will be judged today and the carcases will be on display at the Ashley Meat Processors plant at Sockburn. A pig entered by R.. Seebeck won the on-hoof porker class. N. Todd was second and P. J. and B. M. Molloy third. The on-hoof baconer class was won by a pig from P. J. and B. M. Molloy. G. H. Ragg was second and Peter Molloy third. Entries totalled 111.
