Mothers’ union head to visit
The president of the Mothers’ Union in Britain, Mrs Hazel Treadgold, will visit New Zealand next year as a guest of the Association of Anglican Women. She will be a guest speaker at the centennial celebrations of the Avonside Mothers’ Union, which was the first union formed in New Zealand. When she was elected in 1982, Mrs Treadgold was youngest president in the history of the organisation. She has recently been reelected for a second term.
