The police are still looking for a yellow 1975 Ford Falcon utility, like the model pictured, that was involved in a hit-and-run accident with two Devil’s Henchmen motor-cyclists last week-end. The vehicle crossed the centre line of Opawa Road last Saturday evening and struck an oncoming motorcycle, seriously injuring the two riders, Graham Roy
Averis and Mark Alleyne, both aged 27. Mr Averis was still seriously ill with leg and internal injuries in the intensivecare unit of Christchurch Hospital yesterday. Mr Alleyne’s condition is now described as fairly comfortable. The police would like to hear from witnesses to the crash, or anyone who may have seen the vehicle.
