Leather jackets
PA Rotorua Motor-cycle traffic officers may be wearing leather jackets next year if a proposal being considered by the Ministry of Transport is agreed. A jacket designed ’ for Ministry motor-cycle officers has been designed and made, and ig now being sent round district offices for comment.
The senior chief traffic officer in Bay of Plenty, Mr D. J. Dunlevey, of Rotorua, said the move to leather jackets was part of a wider brief to improve trafficofficer safety.
