PA Tauranga Wardens at periodic detention centres throughout New Zealand will take industrial action by sending home people reporting to the centres on September 2 s - o The Public Service Association has given notice of industrial action as a result of the breakdown of negotiations last week. of the Tauranga periodic detention centre, Mr Neville Downey, said yesterday that detainees must report on September 28 or they would be in breach of their senfences. The Waikato regional secretary of the P.S.A., Mr John Lush, said that negotiations between the association and the State Services Commission over the conditions and remuneration of wardens had broken down.
