$1 million heifers
NZPA staff correspondent Hong Kong A Chinese corporation has bought 400 in-calf Friesian heifers valued about $1 million in the first cattle sale to China from New Zealand since the signing of a veterinary protocol in March, a reliable trade source said yesterday. The source, a China trader, said he understood the animals would be airfreighted to China in October.
