Chase man on board of Hooker
PA Wellington The chairman and managing director of Chase Corporation, Ltd, Mr Colin Reynolds, has been appointed a director of an Australian company, Hooker Corporation, Ltd. Hooker said in a statement to the Stock Exchange that Mr Reynolds had been invited to join its board following Chase’s recent acquisition of Hooker stock.
Chase earlier this week announced that it had withdrawn its application to Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board to increase its stake in Hooker from 14.9 per cent to 19.9 per cent, so Hooker would not be restricted by being designated a “foreign company.” Mr Reynolds, 40, is a chartered accountant who founded the Chase group of companies in 1970. He is also a director of four other listed New Zealand companies.
