Williams Property options
PA Wellington « Williams Property Holdings, Ltd, is planning to give \. shareholders the option of ~ receiving bonus shares or --7 cash dividends. The chairman, Mr Arthur Williams, says in a newsletter to - shareholders that a special X" general meeting is to be called to seek approval for _ this'.
He says that directors were disappointed that the recent Budget announce- " ment prevented the company from maintaining the < tax-free status of the dividend payment. Mr Williams says the company has been ex->.’■ tremely active in terms of new projects and has three major developments under way. , 7
Plimmer Towers, a qual- 4 ity serviced accommodation , .. block in Central Wellington, ■ is on schedule for comple- ’. tion in July next year. Durham Towers, a ser- ’* viced apartment building on a site adjacent to the Christchurch Town Hall, is j"' undergoing the initial stages of construction, with completion scheduled for April 1987.
Pringle House, a quality office block opposite the J Michael Fowler Centre, in 7 Wellington, will be started J in November this year, with , an 18 month timetable for '* completion. - “The Williams City ‘ Centre (in central Welling- 7 ton) continues to provide an - excellent return for the company, with results signi- > ficantly ahead of last year.
